"Working too hard for his love"

Why do we work so hard?

Searching and learning how to find our father’s love in this world is like being on a diet. We try for a day, we know what we need to do and what we need to feel, say and be, but we cheat and cut corners, fudge on our love and faith like the, “I’ll only have one”, whole pie we eat after supper.

There are thousands of self help books, videos, you name it, out there for people on a diet or wanting to control their weight. Have you ever wondered what the difference is between the diet and exercise section of the book store is from the Christian/religious section.

Nothing …

Absolutely nothing…

Most items in these sections are possibly paved with good intentions, wanting to spread the good news and to teach us the way and path to our God, but others done by people looking to make a dollar off people’s losses, desires for finding God or to steer our ignorance and unknowing toward the wrong way to worship and praise. Would not surprise me if there were not books out there published by the red angel himself to mislead us from what is right.

False prophets of love and/or fitness? Who knows?

Which one do I choose or believe? Who knows?

Who will tell me the truth and be straight forward in their writings? Who knows?

Who knows? .... The only one who knows the answers to all these questions and many more questions we haven’t even thought of yet.

So why do we shop and spend our money, that we could give back to him, for answers we don't know if we'll find or possibly suggestions that may or may not fit what we are struggling with?

All the various media types that are out there to "give us the answer to everything" are maybe good guides, if you can trust the source, but such a better source that is out there that can be trusted beyond all others.

The Lord himself.......

and guess what? it's free! Thats right, FREE! just like us.

This now is where people tend to make this concept more difficult than it actually is.

God speaks to us so why do we not speak to him?

If your struggling with finding him or his love then just ask him to help you.

If you want to know the truths about his life or what to do with your own life, ask him to guide you.

What ever it is that you seem to think that you don't have, to be close to him, ask him for it.
I'll bet you have it and you just don't know how to use it or have never thought about what to do with it.

Talk to him, don’t just pray to him. Talk with him, don’t just pray at him. Learning how to just talk to the Lord could and probably will be worth millions more than all the self non help books that you could spend his money on.

Do keep the bible around for reference cause he may give homework and you don't want to fail this class..
